艾達與艾衛：小行星和它的衛星

說明: 這顆小行星竟然也有衛星。 在前往木星的漫長行星際旅途裡，伽利略號太空船於1993年二次遇見及拍攝小行星。 它所拍攝的第二顆小行星艾達（243 Ida），意外的擁有自已的衛星。 在這幅經過銳化的主題影像裡，右側的小白點，就是這顆寬約1.6公里的艾衛（載克太 ）。 作為對比，馬鈴薯形的艾達，長約60公里，寬則在25公里左右。 艾衛是我們發現的第一顆小行星之衛星，至今已發現許多擁有衛星的小行星。 艾達和載克太都是希臘神話的人物。（Ida 艾達；Dactyl 艾衛 載克太）
