Collinder 399: 衣架星團

說明: 這根“衣架”是星團還是星群呢？此一宇宙難題幾乎爭辯了整個上世紀，因為天文學家不知道這個雙筒望遠鏡即可見的天體，到底是物理上相關的疏散星團還是投影的巧合。投影上的巧合稱為星群，其中最著名的範例是北斗七星。最近從地球繞太陽軌道不同的位置所進行的精準測量發現，衣架星團的成員星具有不相容的視差，暗示衣架星團稱為星群較合宜。這群正式名稱為Collinder 399的明亮恆星，位在狐狸座內，其跨幅比滿月要寬。(asterism 星群；Collinder 399 - the Coat Hanger正式的中文釋名為衣架星團，未來或可修正為衣架星群)
