甘伯串珠

說明: 這串恆星是真的。 這群名為甘伯串珠的恆星，過於昏暗而肉眼不得見，然而用雙筒望遠鏡觀看時，卻是會讓人驚嘆的景觀。 就如同北斗七星，位在北天具有長頸的鹿豹座方向之甘伯串珠，是星官而非星座。 這個大約由20顆無關聯恆星組成的星串，每顆恆星都具有相近的亮度，整體的張角則超過5個滿月的寬度。 在這幅影像裡由左上向右下綿延的此星串 ，是在上個世紀由天文愛好者甘伯（Lucian Kemble）所推廣。 影上左上角附近的明亮天體是相當緊湊的海盜旗疏散星團，其正式的編錄號為NGC 1502。（Kemble’s Cascade 甘伯串珠； Jolly Roger 海盜旗）
